Submission Checklist

Before submitting a manuscript to Jurnal Hukum dan Agama Madani (JHAM), authors are required to ensure that the manuscript meets all of the following requirements:

• The manuscript has not been previously published and is not currently under consideration by another journal.

• The manuscript is submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx), OpenOffice (.odt), or RTF (.rtf) format.

• All references that have available DOIs or URLs include the corresponding DOI or URL.

• The manuscript follows the journal's formatting, citation, and bibliographic requirements.

• The manuscript follows the required academic structure and writing standards.

• A cover letter is included and addressed to the Editor-in-Chief, briefly explaining the originality, significance, and novelty of the manuscript.

• All authors' names, affiliations, and email addresses are correctly stated.

• The manuscript contains an abstract of 150–250 words and 3–5 keywords.

• All figures and tables are properly numbered, titled, and cited in the manuscript.

• The manuscript uses the APA 7th Edition referencing style.

• The manuscript has been carefully checked for grammar, spelling, clarity, and consistency before submission.

Manuscript Formatting

Manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Hukum dan Agama Madani (JHAM) should be written clearly, concisely, and academically in English or Indonesian.

The recommended structure follows the IMRaD format:

1. Introduction

2. Methods

3. Results

4. Discussion

For articles in law, Islamic studies, and interdisciplinary research, additional sections may be included when academically appropriate, such as Literature Review, Legal Framework, Findings, Conclusion, and Recommendations.

Manuscripts should present a clear research problem, relevant theoretical or conceptual foundation, appropriate methodology, systematic findings, and a discussion that demonstrates the contribution and originality of the study.

Title Page

The title page must contain:

• Article title – concise, informative, and representative of the research.

• Full name of all authors.

• Institutional affiliation of each author.

• Country of affiliation.

• Email address of each author, with the corresponding author clearly identified.

• Corresponding author information for editorial communication.

The manuscript must also include:

Abstract

The abstract should contain 150–250 words and provide a concise overview of:

• Research background or problem.

• Research objective.

• Methodology.

• Main findings.

• Main conclusion or implications.

The abstract should be written as a single coherent paragraph and should avoid unnecessary citations, abbreviations, and detailed references.

Keywords

Provide 3–5 keywords that accurately represent the main concepts, variables, issues, or themes discussed in the article.

Figures and Tables

All figures and tables must:

• Be cited and discussed in the main text.

• Be numbered consecutively according to their appearance.

• Have clear and informative titles or captions.

• Be relevant to the research discussion.

• Be of sufficient quality and resolution for publication.

Figures should preferably have a minimum resolution of 300 DPI. If required, high-resolution figures may be uploaded as separate files during the submission process.

Tables should be prepared in an editable format whenever possible. Authors should avoid unnecessary duplication of information between tables, figures, and the main text.

Citation and Reference Style

Jurnal Hukum dan Agama Madani (JHAM) uses the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition citation and referencing style.

Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference-management software such as:

• Mendeley

• Zotero

• EndNote

Authors should ensure that every source cited in the manuscript appears in the reference list and that every reference listed is cited in the manuscript.

Where available, authors should provide the DOI in URL format (e.g., https://doi.org/...) for journal articles and other scholarly publications.

Authors are encouraged to prioritize recent, relevant, and high-quality scholarly sources, including peer-reviewed journal articles, academic books, official legal documents, legislation, court decisions, and authoritative institutional publications, as appropriate to the subject of the manuscript.

Cover Letter

A cover letter should accompany each manuscript submission and be addressed to the Editor-in-Chief of Jurnal Hukum dan Agama Madani (JHAM).

The cover letter should briefly explain:

1. The title of the manuscript.

2. The research problem and purpose.

3. The originality and novelty of the study.

4. The main contribution of the manuscript.

5. The relevance of the manuscript to the scope of JHAM.

6. A statement confirming that the manuscript has not been published elsewhere and is not under consideration by another journal.

7. A statement that all authors have approved the submitted manuscript.

Ethical Submission

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions comply with accepted standards of research and publication ethics. Manuscripts must represent original scholarly work, and all sources, data, ideas, quotations, and intellectual contributions from other works must be properly acknowledged.

Authors should disclose any relevant conflicts of interest and funding sources where applicable.

By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that the submitted work is original and that they have obtained the necessary permissions for any copyrighted material reproduced in the manuscript.

Final Submission Requirements

Before completing the submission process, authors should conduct a final review to ensure that:

• The manuscript is complete and follows the JHAM template or formatting requirements.

• The title and author information are correct.

• The abstract contains 150–250 words.

• There are 3–5 keywords.

• All tables and figures are numbered and cited.

• References follow APA 7th Edition.

• DOI/URL information has been provided where available.

• The cover letter has been prepared.

• The manuscript is original and is not under simultaneous consideration elsewhere.

• All authors have approved the final version of the manuscript.
